The goal is that we see our congregation thriving and growing as the members feel more and more like an integral part of our family at Lord of Life.

At Lord of Life, growing as a family in Christ and service to God, each other, and our community are core values. If you are interested in participating in any of the groups or events below, don’t hesitate to reach out! We encourage you to get involved!

 

Opportunities to Serve

 

    • Worship music

    • A/V

    • Communion setup

    • Altar care & decor

    • Ushering

    • Choir

    • Handbell choir

  • Lesson plan and teach Sunday School classes (2 age groups) or Youth Group classes

    • Barista for our weekly coffee & tea bar

    • Bring snacks for fellowship time on Sundays

    • Plan & aid with church fellowship events

    • Write cards for member special dates (anniversaries, birthdays, etc)

    • Offering counting

    • Attendance & directory maintenance

    • Calendar (digital & physical) maintenance

    • Congregational communication (newsletters, emails, etc)

  • Repairs and beautification of our space

  • Voted on positions to serve in a leadership role

 

Opportunities to Grow

    • Board Games Life Group - once a month on a Friday evening at Pastor’s house

    • Cards Life Group - every Friday evening at 7 pm at church

    • Mental Health Life Group - once a month on a Saturday at 10 am at church

    • Men’s Life Group - once a month on a Saturday at church

    • Women’s Life Group - every Tuesday morning at 10 am at rotating houses

    • Youth Life Group - as scheduled, doing fun activities around Houston

    • Pastor sends daily emails with Bible readings, commentary, and prayers. Ask Pastor to join the email list!

    • Pick up a copy of "Meditations”, a daily devotional, found at church!

  • Attending worship services (every Sunday at 9:30 am) and Bible Study (every Sunday at 10:45 am) will grow your faith and connection to God and fellow Christians!
